Yes. A pilot is built around your options rather than the public pair library on this site. You supply the two things you are deciding between, whether that is a pair of names, two logo directions, two packaging treatments, two headlines or two positioning statements, and the question set is designed around that decision. The public categories exist to demonstrate the collection flow; a client pilot uses your material.
A survey usually asks people to rate options on a scale, and responses tend to cluster in the middle of that scale, which can make two genuinely different options look identical. A paired comparison forces a choice between exactly two things, so every response carries information about which one wins. It also avoids the scale-interpretation problem, where one person's 7 out of 10 means what another person calls a 5.

A/B testing measures the behaviour of people already interacting with something live, so it requires a working product, traffic, and usually weeks of both.
